Fun on the PET scan table and other news

I had my PET scan yesterday and, PR person that I am, I told the technician about this blog so she could pass it along to patients.  At least I’m not in there tweeting, “Lying here getting my PET scan …” LOL!

Anyway, I digress. She actually looked up the blog while I was getting the scan and told me there is actually another blog out there called “Miracle Survivor.” So remember if you’re doing a search,  this is the one with the “s.”

Speaking of other blogs and Web sites, make sure to check out the links on this page.  Since starting this, I have come across so many wonderful sites and organizations. One of these is called MetaCancer Foundation, an organization for people with metastatic cancer. There is some interesting perspectives shared about maintaining hope despite statistics that I think is worth sharing: http://www.metacancer.org/everyday-living/maintaining-hope-despite-statistics. Hey, if the people I’ve interviewed in the book listened to statistics, they probably wouldn’t be around to share their stories!

I also came across more information today about the CellSearch blood test I mentioned in a previous post. Here’s a link to the article if anyone is interested: http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/printerfriendlynews.php?newsid=164155.

Have a great day!
