Help us reach 1,000!

Let's make some sound!
Sometimes blogging feels like the proverbial “tree in the forest.” If it falls and no one is there to hear it, does it make a sound? Some days I get comments; other days I don’t. Perhaps that’s why I obsessively check Google Analytics to see how many visitors I have.
A really neat thing happened yesterday that reminded me why this blog and book are important. I received a Facebook invitation from someone who came upon my blog whose father was just diagnosed with Stage IV colon cancer. She wondered if I knew of doctors at Sloan Kettering in NYC; she wanted to find the best. Coincidentally, that day I was talking to Steve Scott, one of the Miracle Survivors featured in my book and this blog (http://www.tamiboehmer.com/2009/10/getting-other-opinions-2/), who is a Stage IV colon cancer survivor and was treated at Sloan. Steve gave me some names and I passed it along to her.
She was extremely gracious with her response: “I read your blog and it brought tears to my eyes. The world needs more people like you. Your book will generate the energy we need to cure this disease.”
I know God, not me, makes these type of divine connections happen. I started this blog at first to help build a platform for my book, but it has become so much more. I get more out of it than probably anyone else, and I’ve been grateful to all of you who have visited and shared your journey with me.
You can help make this book happen so more people can benefit from this message. I started this blog on Sept. 11 (no particular reason for the date) and so far have 928 unique visitors. I am getting ready to send my book proposal to agents and publishers and would like to tell them I have 1,000 visitors. Could you pass this blog along to people you know who could benefit? I’ll let you know when we hit the mark and, of course, when I get an agent and publisher.
Thanks to all of you!
