Celebrating oneness in the world

Be the change you wish to see in the world.
I’m a bit obsessive when it comes to checking my stats. Every day, I go to Google Analytics to see how many visitors have come to the site since it started Sept. 11, 2009. I’m excited to report that, as of today, more than 2,100 people have visited Miracle Survivors!
It’s really fun to look at the map and see where everyone lives. You are in almost every state (except Wyoming, New Mexico and North Dakota) and countries like England, Australia, Mexico, Canada, India, Romania and Egypt. It gives me a sense of connectedness and oneness to know there is someone in another state or country who is looking for hope and inspiration just like me.
My friend Sally sent me a link to a Web site called Humanity’s Team http://humanitysteam.org/that talks about demonstrating oneness this holiday season and the rest of the year. It quotes Hamilton Wright Mabie: Blessed is the season which engages the whole world in a conspiracy of love. They suggest things like organizing a trash pick-up in a local park, placing holiday greetings on car windshields, and giving blankets and coats to homeless people you see in the street.
There is another quote from Ghandi that I love: We must be the change we wish to see in the world. If we want love, we need to demonstrate love. If we want hope, we need to demonstrate that, as well.
I started my journey, finding and interviewing Miracle Survivors, because I needed to hear those stories. I feel like every one of the people I interviewed and people visiting this blog are part of a very special support group.
I hope in my own small way with my blog and upcoming book ,I have helped to create oneness and a sense of hope for others. I know it has certainly helped me. I invite everyone to consider Ghandi’s words and be the change you wish to see in the world. Have a blessed day!

This is a wonderful message- I love the idea that we are in a conspiracy to celebrate love. And the Gandhi quote in one of my favorites. I love that you have people all over the world reading this for support and as support – great reciprocity.
Happy Christmas, Miracle worker.
