this is stu - heather and I had a pretty good relationship at radford which is about twenty years ago - my wife has now started a book herself - it would be really cool if you guys could talk about writing a book at all - perhaps we should talk

I was friends with Heather in middle school and high school and remember when she received the devastating news of having to have her leg amputated. I remember her struggle and her bravity. An incredible and beautiful woman that I've never forgotten, and never will.

Tami, What a beautiful tribute to such a brave and endearing soul. I can imagine it was a difficult passage for you to write. You, too, are a great inspiration to others. Your strength and vibrance have touched the lives of so many, including me.

Tami, I am so sorry to hear about your friend Heather. I saw Heather in May at the Susan G. Komen Power of a Promise event. I believe she was recognized formally that night. Mainly, I remember her, because she looked so healthy and energetic, despite what she was facing. I am truly sorry. ~Laura Maus
